Yes List: PBR Streetgang

Back around 2002 Leeds started to become a second home for many of the Moda crew - it's safe to say that parties like Dirty Disco and Asylum opened our eyes in more ways that one. But it was at the latter hang-out that we first discovered the sounds of Tom and Bonar, better known as PBR Streetgang. 

True music enthusiasts, their sets and DJ mixes often span decades of knowledge and influences. Based loosely around house and disco, but constrained by little more than the amount of rum in their glasses, the two have remained firm favourites ever since. 

In recent years their own productions have taken them to a whole new level, releasing some seriously fresh beats on Futureboogie, Hot Creations, 2020 and Wolf Music and beyond. Much like their DJ sets, their production style slaloms from low-slung funk to bumpin' house to, well, wherever they see fit. 

With their debut appearance on Moda Black just around the corner we thought it was high time we added PBR Streetgang to the Yes List.
