But creativity isn't a Ableton preset, it's a flash of inspiration. A moment of realisation, when your mind breaks the mould, goes against everything it's learnt and says 'this doesn't make sense, but I'm gonna do it anyway'.

Step forward the guys behind this weeks Moda Mix Series Behling & Simpson. Sounding quite unlike anyone else, these two mavericks combine the sun-kissed soul of R&B, the body moving swing of garage and the sub-120 tempo's of classic disco.

Perhaps hailing from Bristol, a city swamped with boundary-pushers, is to blame. Perhaps it's the product of two very different producers in a state of organised chaos. Perhaps they just wanted to get more girls on the dance floor. Whatever the reason, get familiar.
